Barista 730 - Error message bean filling

Posted by: siggi06022020 February 06, 2020 10:54 pm

Hello, my barista type F73 had a defective drive. I replaced it. Now when I try to brew a coffee I get the error message - refill beans.
The grinder works perfectly, grinds and the brewing unit is driven by the motor
, but breaks off without brewing coffee and moves to the home position. The display indicates that beans are to be refilled even though the bean compartment is full. Does anybody know what else I can do to get the device working again?
Thanks for responding:huh:

Hi,

is enough powder ground? If too little powder is ground, it breaks off.
Wiring of the switches at the drive is correct?nothing was mixed up?

Did you put in a "new" drive or a used one?

In any case, the microswitch of the fill monitoring for the brewing unit is not triggered.

Probably it is related to the new drive... if the drive motor is too weak because used, then the brewing unit is not compressed far enough by the drive to trigger the micro switch.
The consequence is that it is assumed that the brewing unit is not sufficiently filled, hence the display "Beans Filling
".
However, the microswitches in the drive or the one for monitoring the beans
may
also be dirty, so it makes sense to replace the 3 and grease the rotating disc in the drive...
