Dear forum members
,the Nivona 8x series and Miele 5200 machines have a motor driven ceramic valve.
Regularly the ceramic plates of the whole valve are leaking. Unfortunately I have not found the ceramic plates as spare parts anywhere. So I have to replace the complete ceramic valve with motor and everything else. Apart from the high price, this is certainly extremely unecological. Does anyone know how and where to get the ceramic plates? I have tried to replace the special gasket, but it was not successful because the ceramic plates do not seal tightly.
Either Eugster or a supplier will build the valves and surely have
the ceramic plates.
As a private customer I can unfortunately not buy
from Eugster.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is
there someone who can repair
the Ventiele?
Many greetings

Hello,
the description of the initial situation is unfortunately not generally valid.
It is not usually the case that the ceramic discs leak.
Rather, it is so that the black valve cap cracks and the valve leaks.
For every 25 defective caps there is perhaps 1 defective ceramic disc.
It is indeed the case that there are no qualified spare parts
available from the manufacturer.
In the bay there is a source of supply for the valve cap
(but no experience
yet how durable they are).
From my experience, the defective valves of
other people
would
help
you
, since actually always the caps are broken
and never the discs that are broken with you. For your
information, the Melitta Caffeo CI E970 has the usual el. ceramic valve. Regards
