Caffeo Solo - Cleaning program problems

I want to clean the machine.

I strictly follow the manual.l

- Machine is off - Then press button with cup symbol + power button 3 secs.
drip tray removed, removed and placed under spout, drip tray back in and now starts as described in the instructions a double rinse cycle -
Then brew group out, cleaning rod in and reinsertAnd

now my problem begins:

According to the operating instructions, after inserting the brew group, the symbol with the tap should light up (which it does) and with the bean button, the program should be continued. And here just nothing happens when I press the bean button. I can press what I want, even stay longer on it it just happens nothing.

The only possibility I have is to switch off the machine and when I switch it on again, it has practically skipped the cleaning phase 2 and starts immediately with the cleaning phase 3 (the 3 beans light up and the middle one flashes). He then also makes a few rinses but then is the end and after completion the symbol remains active that I should clean the device ...

Anyone ever had similar?

When the faucet icon is lit, first remove the water tank and reinsert it. Then it should work
