Hi Guys

I was busy doing a decalcification cycle when the electricity went off (loadshedding for those of you familiar with South Africa)

When it came back on my faithful Jura F50 gave me a fault 8.

I disassembled the machine replaced o rings and new drainage unit, from what I could see was that the piston was stuck because it got hot it looks like the top part of the piston melted a bit. Please see pictures.

When I reassembled everything it started up calibrated brew unit and then gave fault 5. Which points the the Thermoblock if I'm correct. The element in the Thermoblock gave me 35 ohms when testing with multimeter. Not sure what the ohms should be.

How can I test the thermostat and the heating element?

The resistance of the heater is ok.
Does the Efenlitze on the heater have continuity?
