Jura Ena 5 coffee only drop by drop

Machine struggles to brew coffee

Good day,

Since a few days the coffee comes out of the machine more and more sluggish. It comes the complete amount, but only drop by drop or a thin trickle. The machine sounds extremely tortured. Sometimes only a few milliliters come out on the first try and the brewing stops. After that, the machine asks to open the tap. There comes then very hot water intermittently, sometimes as steam. Only at the second brewing attempt comes then again drop by drop a complete coffee.

The water comes out of the hot water nozzle normally. I have descaled the machine twice, no improvement.

I plan to repair the machine myself. I have the know-how and tools.

Where should I start looking? How should I proceed? How do I find out which parts are defective?

Greetings, Wally

I have the same problem, the coffee at home still flows but I can feel that the pump is forcing and that at the end of the cycle the pressure is released and makes a sound like a cork jumping.
All this is a problem of seal, or clogged filter, it will be necessary to disassemble the machine to evaluate where the failure can come from.
It's not rocket science, if it's the pump you'll also have to dismantle it and replace its O-rings.
To open the machine, you must first buy the oval head because without it it is impossible.

We would be happy to have the enlightened opinion of someone who can tell us exactly where the problem lies and how to operate to resurrect our brave coffee machine.
As far as I am concerned, I have an Ena 7 from Jura.
I repaired an automatic machine from Krups,
I think that checking the joints, the hoses and the pump is necessary
.

I don't know if the coffee water goes through a grid, this one could be cleaned with bicarbonate if necessary and prevent this overpressure.
In any case I started by ordering this oval key which seems to be the key to access the insides of the machine.
