Hello to the forum,

I have an EQ9, date of purchase December 2015.

Similar to what was reported in another post, my machine also broke open the brewing group on the upper lid without any apparent reason.

Had the machine turned off by timer, and when I wanted to turn it on I got the error message "Close door", which I didn't know so far. After a short search the broken brewing unit was discovered.

I will try to claim the brewing group for warranty. It's officially already too old, but when I read the entries in the forum, I believe in a system-related technical defect. ...

Has anyone had any experience with a similarly broken brewing unit and the complaint outside the warranty period?

Hello again to all,

wanted to announce in this way also the end of the story, so that also other suffering tested have what of it:

The Siemens customer service sent without comment a new brew group!

Communication was indeed a little lean (automatic mail answer without contact data), also no info that something was initiated.....

But as you know the result!

Insofar thumbs up for the fair settlement at Siemens!

May I ask how long his warranty expired? My brewing unit is also broken for no reason.

Have the EQ9 on 14.08.2020, have the same error pattern, brew group broken, thereby it presses against the water tank whereby the message door close comes.
Obviously there is a concept / design flaw here.

Has anyone already repeated breakage of the brew group?

Hi,

There still seem to be problems with the broken brewing unit.
Unfortunately, despite referring to known faults on the Internet forums and a detailed illustrated fault report, I was not sent a new brewing unit but still had to send in the whole machine.
The repair report arrived today: broken brewing unit.

Work carried out:
Repair KVA EQ.9/EQ.8/EQ.7
Brewing unit
Flashing module

At least it was easy to send it in via the collection service. Apart from the fact that the GLS service had no idea how to put the machine in the box correctly. We somehow managed it together.

Date of purchase: 06.08.2022
Fault date: 28.12.2023
Repair costs: none; warranty
