Brewing unit, error 8, microswitch, basic position

Hello,

I took the brewing group from the display of the error 8 and was surprised that I don't get it after the cleaning anymore.
By now I know that the machine is not in the basic position. The brewing group would have to be inserted to get into it.
Now there is probably a microswitch that must be actuated to return the machine to its starting position, even without an inserted brewing group.

Below the cover, where the brewing unit is also located, there is a small circular, black cover at the bottom left. When I remove them, I recognize a transparent plastic part, which I can also easily push inwards. You can almost imagine it as the unlocker of a LAN cable. I don't know if this is the microswitch or if a cable is actually plugged in. In fact, it shows no effect when I press there and switch the machine on/off.

Where is the ominous switch or what other way is there to get the machine into the home position?

I use a CafeRomatica NICR8..

I try to answer my questions myself, so that I can provide answers for a later reader and questioner.

1) There is no ominous microswitch on this machine.

2) The machine moves to the home position, even without the brewing unit in use, if the "Exit" and the "Arrow" keys are pressed simultaneously for more than 3 seconds.

3) If the machine is still not in the home position, there is a problem with the drive. If no original carton is available, it will be made available by Nivona together with a return label. After sending in a cost estimate will be sent.

5) Except for the repair, all previous services remain free of charge and the machine will be returned unchanged.

smile.gif THANK YOU!

That was exactly the info I needed to drive the brewing unit's drive back to its starting position.

The only valuable clue for our problem with the 850. Thank you very much!

Perfect! The buttons that you have to press simultaneously for 3 sec are the on/off button and the push button in the rotary control on the display smile.gif

Hello,

I have a CIR 788 and constantly the error B when turning on the machine.
Warranty is already two years expired, but had the problem at that time from time to time in warranty. The was also repaired three times, but the error came back after a month (out of warranty) and now I'm struggling with the error for a few years.

I then have to turn it off and on 5 times until it works.

The brewing unit I get only with great effort from the device, pure just as bad.

Does anyone know if there is a basic setting? In the warranty, the brewing unit was replaced twice - without success.

Thanks
