This Jura Z7 displayed "Error 6" but then worked again for a couple of days, before it began to randomly shut down. The ceramic valve (which had recently been replaced) was then removed again and disassembled. We discovered that the pins on the larger black ABS piece that turn the valve disc had sheared. They still managed to turn the disc, but not accurately, so the ABS piece was replaced using the same part from the old ceramic valve (with a bad motor). NOTHING was done to the logic board area during the ceramic valve replacements.

Before the ceramic valve was removed and rebuilt this second time, the Z7 began to randomly shut itself down. After the ceramic valve was rebuilt and reinstalled, the Z7 immediately shut itself off after the power button was pressed. It did not even get to the point at which it checks the position of the ceramic valve. After powering the Z7 on several times with subsequent shutdowns from a couple seconds to several seconds after power on, I gave up. I unplugged the Z7 and switched the power button off. Several hours later, I plugged it back in, turned the switch on and pressed the power button. Worked like new for about two days and now it's back to shutting down shortly after powering up. We did manage to get it to dispense two cups of coffee but with shutdowns at random points during the brew cycles. It shut down just after bean grinding twice and just before the entire water portion flowed through the freshly ground beans, also twice, so it seems there is a bit of a pattern to the "randomness."

Before I take it apart again to inspect all of the power connections and components, does anyone have experience with this? There is one post I found in this forum that points to one component on the logic board (just so you know that I have already seen that), but I'm not yet sure that is my issue.
