Hello,
Our machine refuses to rinse when switched on as well as when switched off. There's a short burst of steam and that's it. However, coffee can be brewed normally, but the machine takes a break of about 20 seconds after each cup in which the LED's for one and two cups blink.
Decalcification we have already several times, but no improvement. Does anyone know advice?

Is it an ESAM machine? One of the two heating coils could be defective. Do you have a multimeter and can operate it?
Describe how to decalcify.

Hello looser !

First time thanks for the quick answer!

It's an ESAM 3000 B, so it's on the proof of purchase anyway.
Decalcified we always have when the ad came. When the appliance started to steam for a short time while rinsing and not to rinse, we cleaned the brewing flask (as it is described here in the forum). Without success, though. Decalcification was always carried out with DURGOL in the prescribed mixing ratio.
I can cope with a multimeter (industrial electrician)

As BE, you should be able to do that. rolleyes.gif
A steam heater is not included with your machine.

You should do the decalcification of the upper brewing flasks over night/WE. Every now and then "Rinse" press.
Durgol is ok, although a bit expensive.

Achieve 2-5 grams per application. Also available in 5 and 10 KG containers. biggrin.gif

Hello looser,

then I will decalcify eagerly until the WE and on Saturday I will measure the resistance. I won't get there before.
Many thanks for the drawing, I'll get back to you.

Hello looser,

measured the heating today, are 85 Ohm, so one of the two spirals is defective. Now I have to order a new thermoblock, but there is a 5mm and a 6mm, the difference is not so clear to me. With the 6 mm should be stamped on the heater what either I do not see it or it is not there.
Many thanks for your help !

There's always something punched into the 5mm. I've seen the occasional punched in on the 6mm. Both would fit.

The 6mm you get completely for about 95 Euro.

The 5mm you get "naked" for about 30 Euro. You'll need a few more pieces. In total then under 50 euros. You'd just have to screw something up. Completely it comes to 105 Euro.

So, what do you decide for? rolleyes.gif

Today I got the 6mm thermoblock from BND, 92,90 incl. shipping.
I decided for the complete assembly because the machine is 5 years old now and I didn't want to use the old parts again.
The machine is still open but I've already done a test run.
Everything as before, it rinses, it boils - super !!!

Many thanks again !!!!
