Melitta Caffeo Sola Cleaning Problem/Filter, Water

I just had the cleaning warning come up on my machine.

Following the companion app, I turned the appliance off, filled the tank to max level with tap water, reinserted the tank and started the cleaning programme by pressing the power and coffee button.

The symbol for removing the drip tray comes up as expected but also, the change water filter warning flashes and stays on.

When I try to follow the next steps by removing the drip tray and placing the coffee basket on top and pushing back in the drip tray, that symbol disappears but the fill water tank warning pops up with the filter symbol also still showing.

From here I can't proceed with the cleaning programme as the machine doesn't rinse through or move to the next step.

I have tried cleaning the filter points on the machine and the tank and made sure the float isn't blocked.

Any ideas?
