I am disappointed that after the first warranty repair of the grinder after only one year of use, five months after the expiration of the warranty period, the grinder no longer functions and, according to the service workshop, is "worn".
As the main component of a fully automatic machine, the grinding mechanism should survive more than one or one and a half years of operation.
Who made the same experiences?
Was there goodwill from the manufacturer?
Or?

Hello,

since this MW is also used in all Saecos for (almost) decades lies I wonder that. What exactly is defective?

Hello,
get the machine back tomorrow with the repair certificate. Then it becomes concrete.

Well, that you could save a lot of money with some manual skill is probably not only the case with KVA's...

Exchanging the grinding stones is one of the easiest exercises, but the additionally exchanged seals are also no disadvantage. What surprises me is that the millstones are said to be worn out. How did the mistake become apparent? If no stones come in (which is already possible), they should already hold about 20000 moves, how much does your machine have on it (menu->moves)?
Often it is just that when using a rather oily type of coffee the grinder becomes more and more clogged.

Unregistered

Yes, the grinder is supposed to be worn out. although I could only detect minor, I think normal traces of use on the returned parts.
Before the 1st guarantee repair of the grinder there were approx. 1,200 grinding operations; before the repair of the "worn" grinder now carried out there were approx.
1,800 grinding operations. The grinder turned, but did not grind any more, so to speak it ran like idle.
I hope it will last longer, otherwise I will get the necessary repair tips from you and also find out how to get the spare parts.
Craftsmanship skills are available.
Until soon! MfG
T.R.

PS: If you want to have a look at the parts, I will be happy to send them to you.

So just the beans weren't drawn in anymore? Under no circumstances is this due to worn grinding cone / ring, this would only be noticeable by coffee that is too thin and too coarsely ground. I'm guessing that you're using a rather oily type of coffee and slowly sit the MW down further and further, disassemble and clean thoroughly and everything's ok again. You can get parts if necessary e.g. at www.juraprofi.de (there you can also find Rep-instructions, your Gaggia is closely related to the Incanto of Saeco)
