Display Nivona CafeRomatica 840 defekt

Good morning, dear ones.
I hope one of you can help me.
Coffee is important and coffee is a way of life... so absolutely with us !!! !

Now the display of our Nivona CafeRomatica 840 has failed with us... it still works, but only soooo weakly that you can only see it in the dark which coffee you really press.
So in the morning only the button of "Überraschungskaffee´s" remains...

My question... How can I replace him? or do you already have a manual for it at Spezi´s? Since I have already repaired our automats several times by your help this is no topic for me to make it this time also again myself.

The only thing left is a display exchange. 150.- € or look in the bay for something used, there always without Gewäähr

Some people buy a yellow display as a spare part, < $50 and solder it in. Official is whole module for €150.
Since there are only 6 pins to the display from the main unit, I am currently thinkimg,t hat it likely uses standard SPI or I2C, so I could replace it with a $2.50 module from China, but I would need to figure out the pinouts and protocol first.

Looks like it uses SPI. Would really be interested in a solution.

Bad news for the 800s. Display not available before the end of the year. We now have 12 machines with the defect.
