Question for the experts. The ESAM 6900 makes hot water but no steam. The thermocouple on the steam heater shows no ohms when measured. The upper one is at 25 ohms. The pump does not start when trying to produce steam. In the test menu, all three valves switch. The pump runs normally.

do you have an automatic multimeter, or with which ohmic range do you measure?

It is possible that the steam heater's temperature sensor is defective, which would prevent steam production. If the sensor does not give a reading when tested, it indicates that it may be defective and should be replaced. It is also possible that the pump control circuit is defective, which would prevent the pump from operating when it is supposed to produce steam. In this case, it is recommended to check the electrical connections and replace the defective parts if necessary. Finally, it is possible that the steam valve is clogged or damaged, which would prevent steam from coming out. It is recommended that the valve be cleaned or replaced if necessary. If none of these problems appear to be the cause of the problem, it may be necessary to call a qualified technician to diagnose and resolve the problem. ....
