I'm interested in a Jura E8, but have been bothered by the non-removable brew group. Now a dealer told me that the brew group is a closed system where no coffee can fall out. And the automatic cleaning programs would ensure perfect hygiene. This would be confirmed to him again and again when he has E8 in his workshop for maintenance. Can anyone confirm this from their own experience?
Many thanks in advance. |
Unfortunately I can't confirm this,
I've had a new Jura E8 Moonlight Silver for 4 months.
The machine looks beautiful.
Unfortunately, after three weeks of use, the stainless steel brewing sieve on the upper piston of the brewing unit
has become completely calcified and clogged. Even worse is that the brewing unit is not cleaned during the cleaning cycle. Coffee residue builds up on the sides and sticks to the brew scoop.
In my experience,
the only way to clean the brewing unit is to remove the brewing unit and rinse all parts under clean water or remove the brewing filter and descale it.
I only used original filters and filtered water for my coffee machine
But it didn't help.
The Jura brew group is attached with 2 screws and can therefore be removed without any major problems.
In 4 months I had to descale the brew strainer 3 times, which is very annoying.
I have had Krups Evidence for 5 years and I have to say I have never had any problems with the brew strainer.
I find it puzzling that Jura can't get to grips with such problems.
