Xelsis coffee spout

Hello Forum! my girlfriend has a Xelsis she is also very proud of ;-) I idiot was of the opinion that the adjustment mechanism to set the cup height is too stiff and so I lubricated the rails with some food grade silicone. Unfortunately too good, now the spout does not hold in position anymore and slides down again and again by itself. I have already tried several times to degrease the rail with glass cleaner - as far as you can get from the outside. But this always helps only briefly.

Can you help me?
