I've had the thing for 3.5 years now and only problems, probably a Friday lunch production, it leaks under the machine, the drive is constantly jammed and recently the brewing group can no longer be removed. Tomorrow I'll go and get a new one, but no Melitta, nothing from the company is coming into my house anymore. Customer service is a joke, apparently just reading out what is on the slip of paper in front of them. This always happens on Sunday.

Did you ever put your hand in? You should hear a slight click when you squeeze it. You can also test the whole thing on its own, without the brewing group.

Top that did it. Microswitch greased, now it runs again.

The flashing means that the brewing unit is not recognized...this is either due to the micro switch or the shutter on the brewing unit. If you press the micro switch by hand while the appliance is switched on, it should stop flashing, otherwise it is probably defective...Don't be afraid of electricity, there are only five volts at this point and they are only at the plugs. If it stops flashing, it is probably due to the cap of the brewing unit. I assume that you have the brewing unit with the lever... on the opposite side of the brewing unit where the lever is screwed on, there's a piece of aluminum on it... you could check if it fits properly... maybe unscrew it and put it back on. This part triggers the micro switch. Please also check whether the locking lever can be brought completely into the locking position after inserting the brewing unit.

Super unscrewing the aluminium part and screwing it back on helped

Hello...I had the same problem and was very grateful for all the advice and tips here on the forum.

Maybe my experience or the fault on my machine will help others here.

With me, the said microswitch was no longer properly fixed and could be pressed backwards when actuating, not much but noticeably, so that the switch contact could no longer be switched on, but the whole microswitch pressed towards the rear wall.

After I opened the device, I could see that one of the two mounting pins was broken off.

Not professional, but easiest solution, I have the switch with superglue stuck and everything reassembled....und behold, the machine works properly again.

I also have a Melitta Caffeo Solo 950-103 and also the problem with the brewing unit or with the micro switch. When cleaning, the program was aborted after reinserting the brewing unit. Several attempts to clean remain unsuccessful. Since restarting the machine, the operating light and the cleaning symbol are now flashing.

Now I wanted to fix this by pressing the microswitch. However, the switch seems a little weird to me as I can't press anything here. Looks like the white nipple on the switch is missing. (See picture attached.) Or what do you think?

Okay, it's done. Switch was defective. New switch installed and machine runs again.

I can't get the side panel out, I'm pissed off.

I am very happy I have found this forum. It helped me to find an issue with my machine.
One of the pins holding microswitches in place broke off and the switch could not be activated.
The one I had an issue was a brewing unit lock microswitch.

For me, the 2x also did not work, it tried another 3x, then it worked. Is then just a part of the cleaning program run through again, they have then made off, on again and everything was perfect again.
