Hi all,
I have an older Impressa s9 and when it is brewing it is starting to take a long time to fill the cup. After the cycle is complete there is an obvious sound of a release of pressure/steam which never used to occur. (Purely from standard shots - I never use the steam wand).
I had the problem in the past to the point that coffee wouldn’t come out at all. I have variously cleaned the brew unit (several times) and descaled it to within an inch of its life. The descaling worked previously, but not this time after 4 cycles, each with 3 Jura descale tablets…
Occasionally the rinse function seems to struggle to produce water fully - but not always.
Reading round the subject he only other thing mentioned is the discharge valve at the base of the brew unit.
I have just tried a rinse with the tray removed. The valve doesn’t leak as I have seen on other videos, but the cycle ends with a healthy shot of water from the valve. It that usual function or a sign of a problem? The tray seems to have more water than previously during use (I or ally run the rinse cycle into a cup to minimise water into the tray). But I might be imagining things.
Oh and my coffee is always on the coarsest grind due to this problem previously as a suggested cause.
Any suggestions as to what to try?
