Buy device or not?

Hello,
I put my question here now, because it is a Melitta - machine.
I would have the opportunity to buy a used Melitta caffeo Barista T from a colleague. The device is according to his information about 4 years old, and has just over 2000 references "behind him".
It works perfectly and was also regularly decalcified and cleaned (also looks like new from the outside).
Unfortunately, I have zero idea whether this age and the covers is now much or whether it is better to leave the fingers of it, since it from age and the covers now maybe then yet with the repairs go.
My question(s): Can you buy the part (should still cost 250 euros) or rather leave the fingers of it?
Have unfortunately no experience what the life in terms of age and the covers in such devices.
Google has brought me here unfortunately also not really further, I try therefore times my luck here and hope for your experience (s) - what you mean.
