The machine will only leak water when making a coffee or during a rinse cycle.

The water pools up outside of the machine, probably around 5 / 10 ml (not a lot).

Has anyone opened up this machine / or have advise on what to lookout for?

I assume it could be as easy a slight split in a hose or the ceramic valve head is leaking?

If anyone has advise please let me know!!

For now it will sit on a drip tray as so far everything works perfectly.

Thanks!

So for anyone looking at a leaking Melitta I took the plunge and repaired the unit myself.

I purchased a Ceramic Valve cover (just the black valve splitter) from Ebay. Opened up the unit:

1 - push in screws behind water tank remove
2 - Top cover of unit using flat screwdriver in the slight openings
3 - Unscrew bean hopper (T10 screws)
4 - Remove top trim (T10 screws)
4 - Remove left side panel (one T10 screw on the top next to valve motor, the lift straight up the swing out and off)
5 - Remove motor from screws in right hand side (2 T10, I used some pliers to start them off from above then took them off by hand)
6 - Unplug hoses on valve transferring them to new valve (keep an eye out for red O-rings)
7 - disassemble valve motor, taking note of relay switches.
8 - take off black valve (T15 screws)
9 - put new valve back on and reverse the instructions above

Not too difficult, take your time.

I'm completely new to this and managed to do it by taking note of where things went. But don't blame me if you break your unit further haha.
