Hello dear friends!

With my DeLonghi ECAM 350.55.B-Dinamica automatic coffee machine, the FI switch trips every time I descale it.
This happens every time when the descaling process is about halfway through. Changing the socket has not helped either. I have also tried it in another household. Here the RCD also trips. So it is clearly
the fault of the machine. Otherwise the machine works perfectly.

Does anyone have any idea what could be defective here?

Thank you, thank you, thank you.....

Alex

This is only when descaling? When coffee or cappu / hot water not?
Best to open the machine and see if anywhere water leakage or traces are visible.
Can also be a solenoid valve to which a protective conductor is connected.
So from a distance difficult to say

Yes, this only happens when descaling. Everything else works perfectly.

Test mode can not be found on the net. Since you could test all components through.
I think that by the descaling, which takes longer a component that is slightly leaky triggers the FI or just yet a solenoid.
I would open the machine and then start the descaling.

I too have this problem now with my 4 year old (young) machine.
Does anyone have a solution? I have already looked several times during descaling.
I can see drops falling, but cannot see where they are coming from.
AND indeed during descaling, quite a lot of water gets to the bottom and eventually under the machine.

Regards, Peter

Hello,

also have the problem with my ECAM 350. For me, the FI always fails when ending the descaling program, otherwise the machine works perfectly. Strange, is this a "built-in" error?

Have you possibly already found a solution?

LG and thank you
Paul

As already written above. Rear panel and left side panel off and then look if what is leaking.
Can be that when coffee is nothing, because the water evaporates. Descaling is usually cold, and then water will come somewhere to a component that triggers the FI.

Hello,

My machine was repaired after all. Everything went relatively quickly and I can finally enjoy my coffee again. wub.gif

I was given the following diagnosis: "After consultation with the technician, the steam heating connection on your product was unfortunately leaking, which led to the malfunction."

Certainly the flat rate of €129.00 was not a small amount, but I can't say whether I could do this repair myself.

I'm just glad that our machine is back. wub.gifwub.gif

Hello, I have the same problem, when descaling, water is really pumped out of the pipe and runs onto the S#electrical plugs. So just open it up. You can get spare parts fairly cheaply - if you dare

Best regards Michael
