Reverse thread grinder screws - repair?

Don't make the mistake that I did... I broke the vinyl that the *reverse threaded* screw in the grinder of my Miele CVA610 by turning it to the left, when I should have turned it to the right.

I ordered a replacement grinder and now it's back to working. But I still have the other damaged grinder. I'm wondering if I can fix it to keep as a spare.

Does anyone have any tips on how to fix stripped vinyl threads?
