Hello,
we have owned a Philips SAECO 8763/01 for a few years now,
at that time I got it relatively cheap and it was mainly used by us to make cappucchino :-) Weare still very satisfied, the crema and also the taste fits.
But lately we often have coffee drinkers as guests and we drink a coffee here and there. Several guests said now, the coffee is very watery. And if wecompare
this withthe coffee at friends, it is indeed true.
So I checked the forumand could often read that you can change the grind
:So I took the trouble and made 5 cups of coffee with different grind settings. I really have to say that the smaller the dot on the grind setting (right) the more watery the coffee gets in my opinion. The bigger the doton the grinder setting (left) the stronger it becomes.
Is it possible that the coarser you grind a coffee, the more intense it becomes? Or do the dots "large = coarse" and "small = fine"
havea different meaning?
After I set the grinder to the biggest point (left) we tested the 5 different strengths - from 1 bean to 5 beans. And honestly, it tastesbest with full beans. There is
also no water in the residue container and the pressed waste is relativelydry and solid and in shape.
So I wanted to ask if anyone here still owns SAECO 8763/01 and how the others adjusted their grind or if theycould make the
same observation?
Many greetings
,Tim
