Hello everyone,

I'm new here and not quite as familiar with the forum yet. Hope I don't bring a piece here that's been around 100 times.

My problem:

I have a Krups Orchestro F889-45, the machine is not running anymore and I get an error message. After long recharchizing I found out that it comes from the brewing group unit and that the gaskets have to be changed. I then ordered some gaskets, which have now arrived.

Now my question:
- What tools do I need to carry out this repair?
- Does anyone happen to have instructions from you, or gibt´s something on the Internet?
- Is the repair something you can do yourself?

I thank you in advance and hope that someone can help me smile.gif

Love and good Sunday

Question 1: Possibly oval head bit, 10, 15 and 20 Torx screwdrivers
Question 2: Dozens of different ones, have a look at Komtra or Juraprofi
Question 3: With instructions (almost) everyone can do it

Is the machine already open? With an old F889 it is unfortunately unlikely that it is actually done with the revision of the BG completely...

Which seals did you order?

Super, thank you very much!!

No I haven't screwed it on yet. Ordered a poetry set over the Internet.
I have already found complete brew groups on Ebay, for quite small money... Would it perhaps be better to change the entire brewing group now?

No, there is a lot of junk on offer, if your BG has no defects, you'd better revise it yourself thoroughly, and in any case the drainage valve as well.

It is important to replace the pressure hose seals and the inner distribution sleeve during a revision. And take a close look at the heating cartridge to see if there are any traces of limescale on the outside...
