How do I manually clean the S9?

Hello, I had no more tabs than the machine "clean" called up and I let the program run without tab.according to the instructions, I can run the program manually using the upper right cleaning key-only the key doesn't respond-have pressed and waited until I turned black!!!
Who can quickly explain to me how I can now run the cleaning process manually with the tab that is already in the coffee funnel for the ground coffee???
