I am interested in a Jura E8, but was disturbed by the non-detachable brew group. Now a specialist retailer told me that the brewing group was a closed system where no coffee could fall by the wayside. And the automatic cleaning programs would ensure perfect hygiene. This would be confirmed to him again and again, if he has E8 for maintenance in his workshop.
Can someone confirm this to me from his own experience?

Best thanks in advance.

The discussion is as old as fully automatic coffee machines themselves...
In general, the hygiene problem is directly in front of the machine. I can let any system deteriorate through bad care. I have also seen machines with removable brewing group which I have opened only with gloves...
Who does not care for the machines minimally gets a small biotope at the end with all designs.

Nabend,

I have the Giga5 with the same system.

Jura and my dealer assure that the cleaning system works completely hygnienisch and is also TÜV certified ( would be thus in Gastrobetrieb probably usable ).

If you look at the pomace, is almost powder dry, what falls out below.
In addition, the machine rinses completely after every use before it goes into standby, when using the milk frother the system also rinses completely.
( always remember to put a collecting container under ! )

My dealer has given me some things that should be done with the daily cleaning so that you can enjoy the machine for a long time.
I even have to sign it and it will be forwarded to Jura ( get instruction ).
If you stick to it, the machine is well maintained but nothing comes of nothing.

And as Danceman already writes, a removable brewing group is no guarantee for a clean machine, if you don't clean and maintain it regularly - then the machine should do it better itself, it does it automatically ( at least )

Here on TV there was a report about it, a questioned technician said, that 8 out of 10 machines, which come to his workshop, are insufficiently cleaned and he has shown some examples - you don't drink coffee anymore.

Faith I know the report. The "technician" wasn't the brightest candle on the cake and he told a lot of stupid stuff, but the passers-by survey in the report already said everything about it. Only one in 10 did the work of maintaining the machine according to the instructions...

Moin,

then you saw another report than me smile.gif

The specialist dealer with workshop and here from the region and mainly repairs machines from the catering sector but also from private customers and he has shown a few current machines from the workshop how it looks like in it.
There you got quite nauseous.

Many thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I can't confirm this,
I've had a new Jura E8 Moonlight Silver for 4 months.
The machine looks beautiful.
Unfortunately, after three weeks of use, the stainless steel brewing sieve on the upper piston of the brewing unit
has become completely calcified and clogged. Even worse is that the brewing unit is not cleaned during the cleaning cycle. Coffee residue builds up on the sides and sticks to the brew scoop.

In my experience,
the only way to clean the brewing unit is to remove the brewing unit and rinse all parts under clean water or remove the brewing filter and descale it.
I only used original filters and filtered water for my coffee machine
But it didn't help.
The Jura brew group is attached with 2 screws and can therefore be removed without any major problems.

In 4 months I had to descale the brew strainer 3 times, which is very annoying.
I have had Krups Evidence for 5 years and I have to say I have never had any problems with the brew strainer.
I find it puzzling that Jura can't get to grips with such problems.
