Hello all,

I have a problem here with my DeLonghi ECAM 22.360.B. The reference of milk foam as well as hot water starts normally, but then ends in the error "water circuit empty / fill" and a rather unpleasant noise.
I think the video shows it best.
After a permanent descaling has brought nothing I have replaced pump and valve. Unfortunately the error is still there.
Is here nevertheless still a Kalkbröckchen on the way? I find it interesting that when drawing hot water, a few ml flow first until the error occurs.

Sounds bad. huh.gif

Go times in the test mode, Since you can test each component. Since you can also find the culprit that rattles so.
Is to be found at

Hi Schlawi,

thanks for your answer.
I can't provoke the noise by any parts test.
It all sounds like it should be.

Chris

Did you disconnect the line at the flowmeter? If so, did you reconnect it the right way round?
Did you also look at the flow direction of the solenoid valve?

Then you have changed the diaphragm regulator.
The noise can come from the coil. Can you not locate where the noise comes from?
What kind of descaler did you use?

To locate the noise is unfortunately really difficult.
I have descaled WoldoClean Uni descaler.
Do you see here still a chance to decalcify the whole thing again?

The noise sounds like a solenoid. Either the bottom that I marked or the second that still sits in the device. There's a hose coming off the top.
Coffee can you draw normally?
Could be something else, of course, but it's so hard to tell.
The descaler fits.

Hi Schlawi,

after I have now already exchanged two parts for free I have just lost some motivation to put more time and money. Even if it would be the next part maybe then, or not ;-).
I also almost think that it is this coil. Just before it gets loud it makes a humming noise similar to a YT video I found of a defective coil being replaced.
When I have a little more time and the suffering pressure increases I will certainly tackle this.
Thanks for your effort up to here.

Greetings Chris

Dear Schlawi,

you were just my salvation! Was already totally despairing.... normal descaling with cheap product from the drugstore has my Delonghi totally calcified. This has then led to the defect of the pump. Replaced pump and found that it could not draw water. Removed flowmeter and noticed no water coming through at all. I left it in concentrated citric acid for a while, but finally I had to pry the small passage free with a very thin wire... a huge (ok for the hole huge) lime plug came out... no wonder that not even the descaler could get through...
Reassembled and then had the water circuit fill message, which I got several times in a row...water ran again wonderfully through the system....
and then I found your message... Well, what can I say, the system does not tell you when it turns upside down:wacko:
So hoses replaced and the machine works great
....

Thank you very much!!!from now on
only the hard descaling product comes into the machine and I never again press descaling away...that has cost enough nerves. glg,MineX81

HI,

I'm glad if you have a working machine again. biggrin.gif

Many ask the same thing over and over again, although it has already been described umpteen times in the forums.

Thanks for the feedback..,
