Hello dear coffee friends, since one week we have the Z8, which is really a feast for the eyes, before we had 13 years the F70, with which we were top satisfied, except for the possibility to make latte, milk coffee or similar, so we have now bought the Z8. In the description of the machine it said that you can make 2 coffees, espressi etc. at the same time, the F70 could do that as well, but it made 2 cups from one portion of coffee. Now I thought, with a machine for 2600 € it is different. Then
this
morning I selected the function "2 coffees" and my wife and I waited anxiously and unfortunately had to find out that she only ground once and filled 2 cups with this amount of coffee, so of course the coffee tasted accordingly. Did I set something wrong or does she really do nothing else than our 13 year old F70 ohmy.gifLieben Gruß VolkerJura

It's normal in law. I don't understand that they can't manage to grind and brew 2 cups in a row.
Did a Saeco already 20 years ago. Melitta has this function on some machines. They cost 700€ and are made in the same factory as the Jura's.

I heard from another source today that the machine would grind twice as much coffee if you select this function...

There is more grinding. That's right. But the chamber in which the powder falls is limited in size. But it doesn't grind two portions in a row.
In the end, it does the same thing as your F70 you had before. The Z8 is basically the same brewing unit as the F70.

That's really very annoying.
Even 20 years old Saeco Magic do that, even the "cheap" Vienna could do that.

My Saeco Intelia and Syntia can do that as well, and so can the fairly new Minuto I have for repair.
