Hallöle,
we have an already life older deLonghi Esprenz in use.
For some time, the grind, after preparation, no longer falls completely into the collection container, but very much next to it.

Mechanically, everything seems to be in order.
The device is regularly cleaned very carefully.
What may be the cause?

Reinhard

Check if the brew group is running smoothly. If you press with your thumb on the sieve, it must go down slightly.
Otherwise, remove the piston with the strainer, clean it, renew the seals if necessary or at least lubricate them.

Thanks Schlawi,
the sieve is relatively difficult to push away.
I'll take off the sieve from the top, clean everything underneath and grease it with a special grease (silicone grease).

Hi,

but you must remove the complete piston. Not only the sieve.
There are also instructions for the Delonghi brew group on various sites.

Hello Schlawi,

Thanks for the tip.

Hello Schlawi and all fellow readers,

this morning I sat down to it and exactly according to the illustrated instructions disassembled and cleaned the brew group.

My brew group was in use until today about eight years.
The piston was very difficult to push away.

The "coffee sour cream" sat exactly in the two grooves of the red O-rings and bappte everything tightly.
It is important to grease with the silicone grease.

The piston stroke was super easy to operate after cleaning.

The first coffee was very good...
It was worth it.

Hello everyone,

Some time ago, I turned here for advice and help with the problem of the sluggish piston in the brew group.

...that worked really well.

I repeated this again recently and it was successful again.

Thanks again for the help and instructions.

Now the same machine is giving me a completely new problem.

The machine switched itself on again and again at irregular intervals. Nothing actually happened that caused any damage, It was just annoying because it was often in the middle of the night.
I solved the problem by switching off the main switch on the back of the machine.

To use it in the morning, switch it on at the back, then the standby switch at the front and the coffee was ready after it had warmed up.

Now for the new problem, we did everything as described above.
After switching on at the back, the four red indicator lights B 11, B 12, B 13 and B 15 light up permanently after a short moment and nothing else works.

I cleaned the appliance as far as I could behind the front flap A 16 and also the brew group A 20.
The brew group also runs smoothly and everything is fine as far as I can tell.
The machine only starts up again and the indicator lights stay on...

What should I do?

...I'm looking forward to the answers...,
Reinhard
