Hello all together,
we are about to buy a new KVA. After 7 years, our Saecco Royal Professional has considerably decreased in taste, even after complete cleaning and decalcification. Now there are two machines to choose from (Nivona 770 and DeLonghi ECAM 23.450 S) and I would like to hear your opinion and experience. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I bought a Nivona 770 today and can't write anything exceptionally good or bad now. But I'm still setting the parameter. Grinding degree, amount of coffee, amount of water, with/without Brita filter (makes a difference in taste in my opinion) and finally the type of bean.

I want to write a complete experience report when I have tested everything. What I can already write is that the amount of water changes every now and then when the device comes back from standby. I think that's a bit strange with a machine for almost 1.000,-- Euro.

We also have a Saeco Royal in our office and it makes very tasty coffee. The Nivona makes a different coffee even though it's the same bean.

Totally enthusiastic I am not disappointed but also not. I had expected a little more from the Nivona 770. But as written I'm still testing.

Many greetings
Alex

Hello @all,
I am since yesterday owner of a DeLonghi ECAM 23.450.
Bought in the Internet, with German CRF warranty card (3 years or 6000 references).
Price under 900 euro!
The processing is good. The design looks more elegant and saves space in the kitchen.
I fell over the appliance with the operating instructions.
We already have a coffee machine, but it only spits out lukewarm brown water and we were a little queasy that this could be the case again.
The amount of coffee and milk is set and the first cappuccino is taken out.

Result:
The ECAM 23.450 plays in a different league.
The cappu is hot.
The cappu is already totally OK with the factory settings (grind, foam).
The cappu is very strong. We have immediately gone back to "normal strength".
The menu navigation is "foolproof" and easy to select.
"Cappucino at the push of a button" is not a buzz bubble but reality.

We will no longer tinker with the settings unless another type of coffee makes it necessary. We just wanted a better cappu, just like our Italian, and that's exactly what this machine does.

A comparison Nivona 770 vs. DL ECAM 23.450 I can't draw - who has both KVA's, but the DL is a surprisingly good device.

A beautiful Advent season

I have also recently bought a coffee machine
(Nivona 740 - the 770 didn't come out yet)

See also tests Foundation Goods test are toxic residues in
water from Delonghi machines (and many others who also use the
Delonghi offal): nickel and lead, especially after descaling.

First after several requests I got an answer from Delonghi:

It's just the way it is and you work on it.

Great statement, since the test was already 1 year ago.

The big Siemens has problems with milk foam and moulds easily,
the new Saeco are no longer so solid and very sensitive
with cleaning, WMF too big and very expensive.

That's why I picked out the Nivona.

Very good machine.

Disadvantage of the 740: it doesn't fit any large latte glasses underneath.

That's the main difference to the 770: There are no problems.

Otherwise I am very satisfied with the Nivona,
the service is very good as well.

So we have a Saeco Royal in the office and it makes a much better coffee with the same bean.

You just can't adjust the parameters that well. The only advantage I see right now is that the Nivona is quieter.

Honestly, the coffee tastes slightly like plastic. I even took the water from the office with me today to rule it out as a source of error.

I am still a little disappointed by a machine that costs almost 1000 Euro.

What did I get from the service when the machine is said to work but the coffee doesn't taste good?

The dealer wants 20% when I return the machine. I also find the hammer... Well, so far it was an expensive lesson in fully automatic coffee machines.

A full test will follow.

Much greetings
Alex

@Platon

There is a Shop to the machine the auxiliary achievement training@home offers to the Shop.
Call on its Hotline and ask which price without training@home applies.
Many success

Moin,
have bought a Delonghi 23.450 yesterday (870 € Media Markt incl. coffee for 10 €). Works well, but accompanied by a loud whistle (probably water pump). Talk with the salesman is still pending. Then there is also a small O-ring in the drip tray ...

Hello everyone,
we are in possession of a Nivona 770 since today. They got 849€ for a great price in TechnoLand. At the moment we are still at the settings. All I can say is I've never drunk a cappuccino this hot before. Really pleasant when you think about what else you can get for lukewarm coffee from really expensive waste incineration plants. In the beginning we had a problem with burnt coffee taste. But as it turned out the beans were roasted much too long and smelled already burned in the hand. Now they're gonna switch beans and see what happens. Is it true that you should not use glazed beans at KVA?
Many thanks in advance and we are always grateful about coffee variety suggestions.

Yes, so it says in the manual.
Bonding of the grinder is probably the problem
