Krups Siziliana milk frother

I have been using the Cappusinatore for 4 years to froth up the milk on my Siziliana and daily.
After thorough cleaning, the part does not switch off when I want to stop the frothing process, so turn the knob back. When I turn the machine off completely, the process turns off slowly.
Has anyone any idea what I can do?

Either the steam valve itself is defective and no longer closes or the controller no longer engages properly in the driving plate on the steam valve...

Thanks for the info. I'll replace the steam valve.

I just wanted to briefly report that I replaced the steam valve and the machine is running again without a ribbon!
Small cost, really easy to replace and I'm happy again!
By the way, the order from the BND coffee studio was already there the next day, so super fast.
