Hello,

we have the following problem with our Siemens EQ 6:

It started with sporadic dropouts, which became more frequent and now hardly make a coffee draw possible.

The machine rinses normally after turning on, when making coffee latte the milk is foamed normally, then the coffee is ground and then the following happens:

The machine draws water, you hear a kind of "bubbling noise" in the upper right, like when the water is heated. After that, it sounds like the machine is building up a lot of pressure, which does not escape (can escape).

Then only a small amount of coffee is "spat out" (it does not flow), just like when foaming milk, when the milk is as good as empty and the last bit is foamed with too much extra air, and the error message "Fill in non-carbonated water..." appears.

Here then only helps to turn off the machine or pull the power plug.

At the beginning it happened very rarely and after the machine was switched off for a while, everything worked normally again.

Since today, hardly anything works and the error keeps coming.

In addition, the following happened(which was not the case otherwise):

- When turned off after error message via the power button, there was a loud hissing noise (as if venting) and instead of rinsing, the machine dispensed the coffee quite normally, which did not come before due to the error message.

- When the machine does make coffee / latte at times, the amount is felt to be less (both milk froth and coffee)

The pomace is well pressed and slightly damp, but far from wet normal, but not powder dry either.

Where do I start troubleshooting???

My guess: The pump has a gone and builds no longer enough pressure ... from previously sporadic to now defective ... this would possibly explain the reduced quantity at the current coffee pouring, if at all what comes ...

Or am I on the wrong track?

I still have an old EQ3 in the garage. Are the pumps in the EQ6 and EQ3 identical? Then I could exchange the yes test. The removal of the EQ6 is quite simple and not much effort.

Or would you suspect the error somewhere else entirely???

Greetings,

Chris

P.S. If it is still helpful: The error always occurs more frequently after the machine has just been cleaned with the Calc'n'Clean.
