Coffee runs into drip tray instead of cup

Hello,

with my mother's Melitta Caffeo Passione, the coffee seems to run into the drip tray instead of the cup. At first the cups didn't seem to fill up properly, then nothing came out at all. During the rinse and clean program, the water runs through the spout as it should. Could this be due to the drain valve, or should nothing come out of the spout even when rinsing if the valve is defective?

Remove the front panel on the drip tray. Then you can see where the water runs out.

I've now taken the screen off and made a coffee. First water runs out the side of the brew group (on the side of the drive). At the end, when the pomace is ejected comes a whole gush of coffee from the drainage valve.

It's probably the drainage valve that's defective.

I put a new drain valve in today and my mom finally has coffee again. Thanks for the help!
