Hello together,

I need your advice for a purchase decision.

In my shortlist are still Siemens EQ.7 TK76009 and meanwhile the Jura Impressa Z5.
I can get the Z5 in the chrome version (new price € 2.449,00) at my dealer as a demonstration device for € 1.400,--.
The machine still has, according to the seller, about 1 year remaining warranty.
The number of covers is displayed with 3.333.
The dealer agreed to send the machine first to the Jura factory or something to have it checked or overhauled.
What would you do?
Is the price of € 1.400,-- acceptable?
For € 1.366,-- I would buy the Siemens EQ.7 from another dealer in our town. TK76009 (list price € 1.499,--) as a brand new device.

Please help me with my decision.

I personally would always take the Z5. And the price is quite good.

Hello,
I don't know Siemens, but I read a lot about it here in the www. I recently bought a Z5 and am very satisfied. The chrome version of the z5 is already very nice, the machine is very quiet for my terms and can also make a very good latte for my taste with the right coffee (main reason for me). I might ask the dealer about an extended warranty, even for a small amount of money. Sost the offer sounds quite fair.
Gruß Michael

Thanks to everyone who helped me with the purchase decision.

I actually decided on 09.02.2009 for the Jura Z5, the machine that was used by the dealer as a demonstration machine with approx. 3,400 covers.
My dealer wanted to send the machine to the Jura-Service the next day.
The coffee-VA hasn't come back from the Jura-Service yet.
I've been waiting more than 3 weeks for the machine.
Is that normal?
Does the service at Jura always last so long?
Then the question arises to me - do Jura machines so often break down that they do not comply with the service or repairs?
Were I better advised with the EQ.7 from Siemens?

What experience have you had so far with the Jura repair service?

Your dealer should ask where the machine is.

What about full repair shops:
That doesn't necessarily mean that the machines are not durable. You have to keep in mind that Jura has been one of the biggest 3 manufacturers of VAs for many years, which of course distorts the first impression. And it's not just equipment in the workshop that breaks down within the warranty, but equipment that is simply serviced for prevention, old equipment that is broken, etc.

Siemens is still far from playing in this league, by the way, so they also have fewer service equipment to expect.

The "3 big" in Europe are DeLonghi/Jura/Saeco.

Greetings
Gregor
