Hello, maybe someone can help.

After the message Error 8 came up more often now and the day before yesterday the device didn't "recover" by itself anymore I started to revise it. Unfortunately without success.

Now, I noticed this, when I manually test the expanded group:

The lower piston goes too high and then can't swing out as desired because it gets stuck, or it starts swinging too late so that it is already too high and gets stuck.

If I mechanically support the swinging out a little bit from the outside, it works.

Is it perhaps the piston or the gear wheels defective? Repairable or do I need a new group?

Brewing unit incorrectly assembled. At the lower piston you have to press the gear completely together and then push the piston in.
It is annoying that you have to disassemble the complete brewing unit again.

Thanks for the quick answer.
I'll test and report back in a minute.

So, the mechanics are now working perfectly. But when switching on, after several power-ups and power-downs, Error 8 still comes up.mad.gif
What do I do now, how can I help with initialization?

Only a slight humming, when the mechanics are on top, then error message

The machine has a servomotor for the drainage valve. Does it still run? If it hangs, the fault may occur.

It is best to remove the drip tray, press the switch for detection with an object and switch it on. When the drain valve is activated the motor is ok. If it is not operated then it is defective.
Usually it is operated briefly when driving down and when driving up.

Well, it's not the engine, it works.

Did you have anything else apart from the brewing unit? Does what change when you unplug the cable from the encoder?
Also check the cable at the encoder
.

Was the error pattern already before the revision of the brewing unit?

Yes, error 8 I had occasionally started the first time. But now it didn't want to anymore.
Something else I did not have
apart.
Does the control board have to be removed to get the cable from the encoder?
