Hi!

I have an EAM 3500 S Pronto Capppucciono. For some time now there is a noticeable amount of water in the collection tray. I have opened the machine and noticed that a small gush of water runs into the collection tray when I draw steam. The water comes from the upper outlet of the rear Soleonid valve, which is located in front of the steam generator. This is always at the end of the steam supply. More precisely: after the steam has been drawn.

As I understand it, the rear soleonid valve controls the flow of hot water to the steam generator. When steam is needed, the valve opens the passage so that hot water can flow from the thermoblock to the steam generator. At the end of the steam supply, the valve closes the passage again. The upper outlet on the valve is apparently used quite regularly to discharge hot water that may still be under pressure.

But: So much water, as it passes through there every time now, is not normal. The collecting pan is filled up so much too fast!

There's something wrong. Only what?!?

Should I clean or even replace the rear Soleonid valve? Or is the problem somewhere else?
