Melitta Caffeo Solo- a lot of water in the marc container

Hello, everyone,

I've had a Melitta Caffeo Solo machine for 2.5 years.
In the meantime, a lot of water collects in the marc container after the covers have been removed, compared to the initial time after the machine was purchased. I have already tried all the grind levels from coarse to very fine, but this doesn't change anything. The pads are no longer dry and compact like at the beginning, but rather muddy and fall apart. Which is probably due to the amount of water. I only
changed the
grinding degree
during one grinding process.
Recently the brewing unit got stuck
when I
took it out
when I wanted to clean it.

It took me a while to solve the problem. After that the amount of water in the pomace has

increased again.
Is it the brewing unit? After 2.5 years, is it perhaps time
to replace them?

Or could a defective seal

be the problem?

I am unfortunately a complete layman in this respect and hope to perhaps find answers here, as other users have had similar experiences

.
Many greetings and
thanksFlorian

Important counter question
: Does the watery sentence bother you or are you
dissatisfied with
the brewing result
?

If the coffee is still okay for you I wouldn't change anything, at best

replace the

gaskets of the brewing group

and grease them.

This may bring a slight improvement, but experience has shown that even a completely new brewing unit

does not

bring

100% success.

Many devices are

deadly repaired

without necessity

.

If you have the opportunity to compare the set on a new machine, you can also consider whether the grinder (regardless of the grinding degree) no longer

works

so precisely

.

I think this is all a bit normal and acceptable for

a KVA.
Greetings!
