Hello together,

my Gaggia Titanium makes about 1/2 year problems. The machine does not rinse and heat again and again after switching on. The machine was already three times in the workshop (guarantee). This returned the machine each time without repair (!). Reason: There is no error. When asked, they had to admit that they had switched the machine on, it went off and every coffee was hot ...??????
The machine is now being repaired again (it was ready again when it was switched on for the third time). I told the dealer that I would not take the machine back if I did not receive a detailed repair report.

Is anyone still aware of this problem (no rinsing, no heating up after switching on)???

Sometimes the machine could be outwitted by changing the coffee temperature in the program. However, this trick only worked at the beginning.

Thanks for replies ...

I'm afraid I have the same problem. For me it helps to disconnect the machine from the mains for a short time (approx. 30 min). After that it heats normally again......
A dealer advised me to exchange the control and regulation boards(?); you could buy them on ebay for 15-20€. I just haven't found it yet.

Hello,
we have a similar problem.
Sometimes the machine shows 'heat up', but nothing happens.
I.d.R. it works with a light pat on the left side.
Maybe there is a bimetal that doesn't switch properly.

Many greetings

We have the same problem. In between every now and then a cold coffee .......

At first I thought that we had decoled too late but this morning again the same cheese.

As there is still residual guarantee until 11/2008 I will probably bring the thing to customer service.

Hello together

I also had more and more cold coffee from my Gaggia Titanium after 2 1/2 years. Last on every second power-up.

There I had literally "the coffee on" and took the machine apart without further ado. Warranty was no longer on it anyway and the error literally smelled like loose contact or cold solder joint. I didn't want to spend about 400 Euro for the exchange of the control board, because you can better buy a new machine with warranty.

As such machine screwed on and control board removed. 3 solder points on a potentiometer at the edge of the control board looked somehow suspicious, so soldered. Furthermore all accessible cables with plugs in the machine have to be unplugged and plugged in again (could also be a contact problem at a plug). Then everything reassembled, turned on and enjoyed a hot coffee.

Since that (4 days) I have no more problems with cold coffee.

My recommendation:
If the warranty has expired, and you are a bit talented and have soldered something, then you should try the repair attempt. Anyway, it worked for me.

Many success!

PS.: It took me about 2 hours to complete the action. What should cost about 400 Euro at the motherboard + effort for's exchange I do not know is in my opinion absolutely usury!

Hello,

I have the same problem. It also drips from the Gaggia during steam drawing. Just 2.5 years old, is really a joke.
