NICR 831 shells missing

I had the problem that the drive was very stiff, then came the message 8 (position drive can not be approached). Then came the message "shells missing" although they were inside.
Have disassembled the machine, switch for the shells works, have made the drive common again and once connected to an external voltage source, works.
The switch is connected in series with the motor, if the shells are not inside I have 25 V at the switch. Nevertheless, the message "shells missing" comes even if they are in. Error in the electronics due to overload on the motor?
