Hello, everyone,

I have an about 10 years old Bosch Benvenuto B30, which I have already successfully repaired several times by myself with the help of internet forum.

Currently the following problem:
Grinder was making increasingly strange noises as if it was having difficulty grinding the beans and
less
and
less ground coffee
came
out at the end.
So I completely disassembled,
cleaned and reassembled
this one
. -->

Now the grinder makes only high noises but no more beans are ground and at the end the message "

Fill

beans

"

comes

out.
What I noticed after disassembling the machine The mark for the position of the grinder was not exactly correct, so I made a new mark and
reassembled it
accordingly
.
What interests me now very much: Can an incorrect position
cause
such
a problem?

I am not sure if the old marking was just wrong or if something was wrong. I am now thinking about buying a new grinder and replacing it completely.

I'm

just afraid that the problem might not only be with the grinder and I might end up with a broken machine + useless new grinder

.
Best regards, Lstoever77

Hello,

is the inner grinding cone at the bottom? With the middle screw look that the groove of the plastic part is in the groove in the grinder
, the marking is the factory setting. If you now turn the grinder too much, no powder will come out or only very fine.

Thank you very much for your answer!

is the inner grinding cone at the bottom?
Unfortunately I don't know which part is meant by grinding cone. : (

With the middle screw look that the groove of the plastic part is in the groove of the grinder,
Yeah, I think I got that right.

The marking is the factory setting. If you now turn the grinder too much together, no powder will come out or only very fine .

You mean the outer ring? I turned it all the way to the left to take out the middle part. Afterwards I turned it to the right again, but since I was not so sure about the markings, it could be that I turned it too far to the right. Should I try with a little less to the right?

Put it on the mark. Then you have the factory setting. If it works then you can always readjust a little.

Unfortunately, I had already ordered a used, reconditioned grinder on ebay. So I was too hasty (my wife can't stand to be without coffee in the morning) ;-
) Now I offered the seller to refuse to accept the package and to refund the shipping costs. Or should I keep the part as a spare part (cost only 66 EUR for a complete grinder). What do you think? On the other hand I don't want to have a part lying around here that I might never be able to use.

Usually it is said that after about 10000 covers the grinding cones are worn out.
What kind of grinder is it and what kind of grinding cones are used in the new one? V3 or
V5?

I've looked at the covers and there are currently 7052 covers.

I'm afraid I don't know which version. This is the following offer:

I took that photo after the removal. Hopefully it will tell you which grinder it is.

Sorry for the double mail. Just had connection problems. Here again a link to the photo with better resolution:

To the references... that my wife has reached in more than 10 years (in fact I mean 12 years). So it would take her another six years to reach 10,000.

Then I'd send it back. By the looks of this, it's a used grinder with a new grinding cone.
