Hi,

Just wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of the possible cause of the following problem:

After powering up the machine, the display presents the message “Warming up” very briefly (maybe for 1 second) and then displays the message “Restart to solve the problem”.

I’m trying to determine it it’s the sensors on the boiler or the boiler itself. These, I think, are the most likely culprits. Of course, tell me if my theory about what’s wrong with the machine is wrong.

Many thanks.

If my assumption is correct, the Platinum Vision is identical to a Saeco Talea Touch.
Saeco has a test mode and I think the Talea Touch also has a diagnostic mode/error status.
Maybe there is something stored there and you can better isolate the error.

Thanks for the references to the manuals and the tests. Unfortunately, I was finding it difficult to isolate the problem with them. I have resorted to partial dismantlement and testing with a multimeter. I am fairly confident that the boiler is ok (the resistance is correct according to my calculations). I am now looking at the two thermal sensors on the top of the boiler. I have tried pressing the switches on the tops of them a while back (one of the first things I tried), but this doesn't seem to have helped. I now need to find a thermal paste to couple them back to the boiler (I removed the sensors). It may be that thermal contact was poor? Any recommendations of suitable thermal paste?

Maybe a better approach on here is to explain the problem. Upon powering up the machine, for about a second it displays a message saying "Warming up" and then switches to displaying "restart to solve the problem". It would have been helpful if it said what the problem actually was!! Does anybody have any theories as to what the problem could be. I am receiving no error messages on the display. As far as I can tell when I was playing with the diagnostic settings, the grinder was functioning ok.

Many thanks.

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could point me to the possible cause of the following problem:

After turning on the machine, the display shows the message "Heating" very briefly (maybe for 1 second) and then shows the message "Reset to troubleshoot".

I am trying to determine if it is the boiler sensors or the boiler itself. These, I think, are the most likely culprits. By all means, tell me if my theory about what is wrong with the machine is wrong.

Thank you very much.

Hi I have the same problem , it tells me to reboot to solve the problem, I was wondering if you managed to solve it.
