Hello,
my problem is that the display for removing the drip tray does not go out although the drip tray is emptied back in.
The display is on all the time, but it doesn't blink when the shell is outside.
I've already manually operated the rear switch, but it's no better.
If I turn off the unit with the main switch and replace it again without the shell, the display goes to malfunction (running light). When restarting with shell I have the old error message with the drip tray again.
Has anyone an idea?

Good evening,

da the sensor belonging to the drip tray is definitely defective. Apart from the switch you pressed, there must be a sensor inside which reports that the bowl is full.

Moin,
thanks for the quick response.
I suspect that is then somewhere above the marc container!?
Is that a mechanical or inductive sensor?

Hello,
have the same problem now.
No technical freak...
But if there is a construction/electrical plan for the machine, the exact designation of the capacitors and the exact location, then I ask a friend if he would dare to do that...

Many thanks already once.

However, I have as model 960-105...

Hello together,

I also had the problem that the display of the drip tray is permanently lit. The microswitch was fine. Thanks to the tip I have exchanged the two capacitors (see picture) and now it works fine again.

The capacitors are available e.g. from Conrad (order no.: 442613 - 62) for 26 cents.

Thanks again for the tip, so I could repair it for a few cents.

Greetings,
Christian

Good evening,

The two electrolytic capacitors are everyday capacitors that are also used in TVs & radios.
You have to unplug the power plug first! Then unplug the board. Then turn the circuit board so that the solder side is in front of you. Then with a pointed soldering iron, which heat up a total of 4 soldering points, until melting. The soldering tin is sucked off with a so-called desoldering pump. Then pull out the electrolytic capacitors. Put the new electrolytic capacitors in the right direction. The + pole is marked on the circuit board. The negative pole is marked on the capacitor with a thick negative strip. The correct polarity must be correct, otherwise there will be even more damage on the circuit board! The new electrolytic capacitors beautifully soldered. - No big deal.

Had the same problem with permanent light collection container. Super description of HWS, parts ordered at Conrad, installed and the machine runs again perfectly - a bit choked during soldering, because no desoldering lamp, but it worked like that. Thank you, Tip was perfect!

Hello,
Have the same problem. Had to buy a new brewing unit, pulled 10 cups, drip tray lights up permanently. No coffee. In the morning. Sounds like the same problem here. Only where's the circuit board? Repair instructions? Have already repaired some things with the help of EUCH. Awa Elektronik?!
But thank you in advance. Hope we'll make it through Christmas with the Melitta.
Wish you all happy holidays
