Jura Impressa C5 no longer works

Posted by: Dschingis October 24, 2023 09:55 am

Hi all,

I got an old C5 from my parents because defective.
After switching on, the icon for water empty lit, although water was full. Then lit the Entkalkunksanzeige + water empty indicator.

That was then at some point gone.

Now right "Rotary button" (at the output for milk foam).

How do I best proceed umd narrow down the error?

Thanks and greetings

Genghis

The float in the water tank has probably stayed down.
Does water come when you open the hot water tap? If so, descale the machine with a good descaler. No vinegar or citric acid. Use an amidosulfonic acid-based descaler.
Once everything is running, you might want to remove the brewing unit, disassemble it, clean it and reseal it. The coffee spout also tends to become clogged with the machines.

Float works. That is not the problem. The warm water only comes out drop by drop. Is there something clogged?

Where does it come out drop by drop? To the coffee spout or hot water spout?

So now I have a different error pattern. Yesterday I tried to rinse with coffee machine cleaner.

Error pattern now:

Coffee is ground and comes out of one nozzle (from the second only a few drops).
At the hot water outlet nothing comes out. The water ends up completely in the pulp container.

Thanks and greetings

Turn down the black adapter on the hot water nozzle onto which the frother is plugged. It tends to get clogged. There is a small hole.

As already mentioned above, you will have to dismantle and clean the coffee spout. There accumulates with time Schmodder.

What kind of cleaner did you use? Tablet in brewing unit and then cleaning program?

How does it look with lime?

I opened the housing. Looks like the steam valve is clogged. Photo attached. What is the best way to get this clean? How do I test the function? Blow through? Or better to order new one? Thanks.

Do not see a picture. So far I have never had a clogged steam valve. Rather pipe or heater.
You can test it by blowing through it.
