Siemens surpresso s60

Hi all I'm new here and hoping I'm posting in the correct place.

I have a siemens surpresso s60 when I switch it on the unit goes into heating and you hear the motor turn 3 different times and then it says error 8.

I've done abit of reading and testing all 4 microswitches which all test ok.

The brewing unit is very hard to come out to the point I have to pry it our with a screwdriver or knife so I believe it may have something to do with this also I noticed when putting it back in I have to stick my finger on the microswitch at the back of the brewing unit where the main lock switch is located for a split second to move the position of the motor to allow the brewing unit to be installed . I'm guessing something is out of position but I can't understand or find what it is.


Any help would I would be very grateful

The switches cannot be tested. Change the two on the drive (top and bottom). If the error still exists, you can continue to search.
