Now the thing finally has a conclusion:

The gentleman from the customer service helped me now in detail and informed me, where I can pick up my equipment. In 1-2 hours nothing stands in the way of a coffee. smile.gif

Hello,

I had the same problem today.

Brew unit cleaned and used, after switching on the machine came then error code 8 (There one must switch off the machine over the main switch and switch on again), after switching on came this error code 8 but again, so the machine switched off and brewing unit again removed and cleaned, then I wanted to use the brewing unit again, nothing worked.
brewing unit didn't go in anymore.

error solution was then press the microswitch in the upper right corner (it's a bit hidden) and switch on the machine, machine moves to home position and the brewing unit could be put in again.

some things can be so easy, but without help in this forum, it wouldn't have been that easy :-)

Thank you very much for this helpful entry.
---> the tip with the microswitch also helped me !!
My "mistress" had already switched to bad mood / "bad weather" because her beloved machine broke down.
Now the box is running again and the sun is shining smile.gif
.... and saved a lot of money for customer service.

Additional info:
The micro switch is something hard to find!
It is a small white button and sits well hidden behind an oval opening approx. 5cm above the drive shaft at approx. 1 o'clock.

Many greetings
Claus

QUOTE (Martin (hobby technician) @ Monday, November 25, 2013, 18:23 hrs)
Hello,

it would also be possible to simulate the presence of the brewing unit by pressing the appropriate microswitch so that the unit goes into its initial position.

Or to unlock the lever lock on the brewing unit by hand, if it almost goes in that way but on an almost new machine and if you don't know how to use it, neither would be so good.

Had the same problem. I readjusted the home position with a microswitch. The brewing group is still stuck, although the basic position fits exactly with the brewing insert. I then moistened the rubber on the drive axle a little and the brewing unit was ready to be inserted and locked. Possibly a drop of silicone spray helps permanently. If only it were dabbed with an ear stick.

I remember there is some easier way to get the machine in correct starting position but cannot recall exactly how.

The unit is to be turned off completely. Then some more button is supposed to be pressed at the same time as the start button is pressed.

This advice I got from the Nivona customer support by phone - sorry to say, I didn't write the procedure down on paper or computer.

Perhaps anyone here knows?

Today I got the key combination EXIT and Arrow pressed until the actuator has moved to home position.
Worked for me .

Thanks to all the information given here.
After the error 8 was also displayed by us, I could not use the brewing group anymore. After bypassing the micro switch in the upper right corner and switching on the machine at the same time, it worked again. The switch is a bit hidden.
It is
best to use a blunt, narrow object to operate it
.
My wife is "fluffy" again and I am her hero. :-)

Have found the problem several times and yesterday finally found the cause.
The brewing group was always heavy
on the drive axle.

Yesterday

not at all.

After one hour finally

the redemption.

When the brewing unit is pulled off with or without force, sometimes the rubber comes off the drive axle and gets

stuck

in the holder of the brewing unit

.

Simply pull it out of the brewing unit and put it back on the drive axle. Looks like a crown the wide

seal.

Hope it helps you

too.

Hello everyone
thanks to your solutions I just solved my problem.
How can you hide the reset switch and why is there nothing in the manual?
Who knows how many people have already taken their machine to customer service and they just pressed a little switch and then wrote a nice bill for the `repair`.
Oh man - the Internet is sometimes a great medium for such a research

Stay cool. Nivona is a top machine. If the brewing unit is stuck, it's not in the right position. Turn off the coffeemaker. Put everything back in. Fill it with water and turn it on.
Then the brewing unit will align itself. Then unplug it and it should come out. After cleaning: If the brewing unit doesn't come out... Look inside on the top right. There is a small switch. You have probably adjusted when cleaning. Then turn it and it goes in... Don't force it. It always has a reason when the brewing unit blocks.

Thanks for the numerous tips. The descriptions here are top. The trick with the small Micoschalter and the description where he sits was brilliant.

I thank the gentleman with the tip with the drop of oil from the heart wub.gif

Honestly, this tip sounded the most absurd but after 1.5 h of despair has really sufficed a small drop of rap oil on the drive shaft and the brew group slipped like butter in the machine. The tip with the micro switch can be found really everywhere on the net...but sometimes a simply the classic...a drop of oil and a hand edge blow. laugh.gif
