Siemens EQ.5 500 ending dispencing early

Only brews 1/3 of a cup

Hi,

My 3 year old EQ.5 500 has developed a problem. It starts brewing normally, but after 1/3 of the cup it displays "Ending Dispencing", stops brewing, and emits a puff of steam. I have ran the cleaning program several times, changed the water filter, tries with another (known good) brew group but the problem persists. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?
