compatible pressurized filter?

Hello. I bought a Delonghi EC230-BK coffee maker for my father. I didn't realize that this model has non-pressurized filters. As a result, the pre-ground coffee he buys is not suitable and it makes bad coffee. The EC235-BK and EC260-BK models use pressurized filters and their filter holder is identical to that of the EC230-BK. I wonder whether the pressurized filter on models 235 and 260 would make better coffee, or whether there's a pressure difference that makes them incompatible with the EC230...
