Hello dear skimmers tongue.gif !
I recently saw in a magazine that you can pour the foam into a cappuccino in such a way that you can see a little heart in the foam (due to the brown of the espresso in the white foam).
I've tried this a couple of times myself, but it just doesn't work!?
Has someone got a hint?
Thank you now! smile.gif

The "brown of the espresso" is not the espresso, but its crema, oils and fats from the coffee beans.

For Latte Art you need very fine and liquid foam that can be poured under the crema.

Hello!

I'll put my question right here, because it deals with the same topic.

If I find such a fine & liquid foam in a fully automatic machine (e.g. my C5) that I could make Latte Art with it?
I have both the professional nozzle and the 2-stage foaming nozzle. With the 2-stage foam, however, the foam becomes quite coarse-pored. With the professional nozzle, on the other hand, relatively firm and stable. unsure.gif

>For a short helpful answer I would be grateful.

Do not know your VA but I would now simply say that you with no VA that has a foaming aid foam get the fine-pored enough is.

With my ESAM I can get it without foaming aid, there are even pictures, but I can not interpret this ;-)
Here I simply still lack the skill *G*

Which ESAM do you have, if I may ask?

The 4300.
The foaming aid was removed, however, and the "steam nozzle" was secured against flying away.

With the 2-stage foaming nozzle you can very well produce fine-pored foam, I managed it quite easily myself.
Relating to the PAC: Simply adjust the knob a little until the foam has the desired quality.

@wadriller:
When you remove the foaming nozzle from the Jura, only a short stub remains, which does not work as with the DeLonghi.

This also works with the C5, just a matter of practice! The Autocappuccinatore has an adjustment wheel...

@ All: First of all thanks for the answers.

@ Michael: I won't buy ESAM anyway because of that... But thanks for the info. smile.gif

@ Gregor: I'll definitely try that again tonight with both jets. Could it be that the foam becomes finer and more liquid again, if I stir it with a spoon? Or is that delusion?
Purposes of the PAC: If I adjust the knob, according to Jura only the temperature is changed. And I have already noticed that the foam becomes more liquid the further I go towards the steam?

Hello,

that the foam becomes more liquid towards steam is clear, because position 6 o'clock delivers only warm milk.

As far as foaming is concerned: If I tell you something about pulling and rolling phase now, you will probably have more question marks over your head wink.gif
Just read the great article in the Kaffeewiki, there is an explanation, also with some pictures, how to foam properly: http://www.kaffeewiki.de/index.php/Milchschaum

I'll have a look at the article for sure. And I hope that's gonna get me somewhere.

Thank you anyway for your help!
