Hi there, we have a Siemens TK76K572 integrated machine. Had a message yesterday to clean brewing unit and for first time ever we saw that coffee had got backed up and was still dry in unit. We cleaned unit and also ran a calc n' clean cycle.

Now, when we run unit, no water comes out of coffee spouts at all. It all just goes into drip tray. If we run a hot water programme then this works from the hot water spout but nothing working with coffee spouts.

I've seen on a forum that cleaning the ceramic valves may work but can't find instructions on how to find them in the machine.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hello, so first examine the brewing unit. Is the keline O-ring on the water inlet still ok? Is the angle still intact? The cap where the water inlet (angle) retracts ok?
Ceramic valve are subject to wear if not regularly and the water hardness was adjusted.

Hello,

Getting water in the tray and no coffee is one of the most frequent problems with many machines.

This behavior can be caused by many different parts.

You should check at the very least these:

-Brewing unit: extract from the machine and rotate manually to observe if the plunger fits correctly and tightly. Check all o-rings for damage. Sometimes you cannot be sure if the o-rings are bad, you can apply Teflon tape and run a cleaning cycle, if you get water through the coffee nozzles it means you have leakage somewhere.

-Pump: Most units fail after 10K cycles, but others fail with much less (I've seen 5K). It is easier to buy a new one and it's not that expensive but if you want you can also disassemble and replace the ball, spring, and all o-rings; cheaper but more time-consuming...

-Relief valve (it's the three-way valve right downstream of the pump): in some machines that fail right after doing a calc'n clean cycle I've noticed small pieces of the calc tablet get stuck inside this valve.

-Heater: sometimes you get lime inside, remove both inlet and outlet hoses and fittings and look inside the tube. Clean if necessary.

Hope you find a fix.

Regards,

Marcos
