Hello dear forum community,
I bought me a used Krups Siziliana half a year ago and was also very satisfied so far. Then at some point the coffee tasted totally watery, the coffee grounds were soaking wet. Google and a forum post quickly gave me the idea that it could be a worn grinder.
So I ordered a spare part (V4) on the Internet. Today I extended the old grinder. I can't tell if it's really worn out, though. I took some pictures of it here in the dropbox:

Exchanged it will be like this, tomorrow the spare part will come. But if you tell me now that it's not the grinder's fault, the troubleshooting will continue. I also spooned powdered coffee into the chamber once, the coffee was then nicely strong. Brewing chamber seems to work, the coffee is also nice and hot.
So please have a look at the pictures above and tell me if the grinding ring and cone are worn out.
Achja: now I have the part open, what would be worth cleaning? Should I simply disassemble and clean each part according to the instructions?
Greetings Dennis

Hello Dennis,
Even if the grinding stones look good, they can still be worn out.
Therefore a remote diagnosis based on the pictures is hardly possible.
In general, I would revise the brewing unit of a used machine, clean the coffee spout, check hoses and components, if necessary clean and replace seals.
