Miele CM6350 ceramic / control valve positions

Hi all
,does anyone know about the control of the ceramic / control valve in the Miele CM6350?
I have the following phenomenon, it is not sucked from the milk container neither when producing foam or hot milk.
BUT in the cleaning mode, the Mich cleaner is pumped from this container!?
Are different positions of the valve being used here? At least in hot milk and cleaning mode I would have thought that the same position is used?
